Japanese Tea Ceremony
$300 – Two hours for two persons
$600 – Two hours group of three-to-six
Experience a private Japanese tea ceremony conducted by tea masters from Tokyo — Tea Master Soko Yasuko Hara of Yasuko Chanoyu and Zensho Martin Hara as the Jisha (assisting Zen attendant).
The tea ceremony will be conducted in the tradition of the historic Omotesenke School of Tea originated by Sen Rikyu (the father of Japanese tea ceremonies) and the ancient roots of Zen
Buddhism through the Cultural Renaissance of Japan during the 16th Century.
You will experience Chanoyu with the taste of authentic matcha and seasonal sweets imported from Kyoto with your own Zen moment. Light refreshments and conversations will follow
after the ceremony.
We will also join a 10 minute tour of the Historic Zen House studio where sculptor Gutzon Borglum started creating Mount Rushmore between 1910-1941.
