About Zen House Satori
Experience complete tranquility in the Zen-like environment this exceptional retreat provides. Located less than an hour’s travel time from New York City, Zen House Satori consists of an architecturally significant mid-century modern ranch home set within a 3.5 acre private estate in Fairfield County, Connecticut. This is the ideal setting for a memorable romantic getaway, solo adventures and business travelers – not to mention photoshoots and film locations!
Our Intriguing Backstory
As breathtaking as this property is, its story is equally noteworthy. Zen House Satori originally was part of a large area of land owned by Gutzon Borglum – the master sculptor who designed and carved Mount Rushmore. The unique stone walls on the property were constructed by Borglum to serve as his outdoor studio. These same walls now surround the pool house, and imbue the estate’s grounds with their invitingly mystical character and sense of privacy.
Our Amenities
The pool house features a great room, white kitchen, guest room and two baths. Our 60-foot lap pool is exquisitely lit, creating an enchanting evening environment. Those who truly love mid-century modern design will find their stay at Zen House Satori an experience that is not likely to ever be surpassed!
